Self-storage for e-commerce in Lisbon: what to look for in a unit
Size, access, loading and contract: what to check before renting a unit for an online shop's stock.

An online shop often starts with the stock at home. When the boxes take over a whole room, a unit close to the city solves both the space and the time it takes to pack orders.
Which size to choose
- 6 m²: about a pallet and a half, or a small company's archive (€120 a month + VAT).
- 8 m²: stock for an online shop that is just starting out (€140 a month + VAT).
- 11 m²: running stock with room to sort and pack orders (€175 a month + VAT).
- From 20 m²: €15 per m² a month + VAT, for larger stock or building materials.
Count volume, not just floor area: shelving up to the ceiling multiplies what a small unit holds.
What to check before renting
- Access: for e-commerce, getting in at any hour, weekends included, matters on busy days.
- Loading: unloading the car or van at the unit's door saves time on every delivery.
- Contract: term and notice that fit the seasonality of the business.
- Location: close to couriers and customers; from Marvila, the city and the routes out of Lisbon are minutes away.
Storage and office in one place
At WorkHub Matinha the storage units are on the ground floor, with 24-hour access, in the same building as the coworking and the offices. If you already have a desk or an office, the unit goes on the same invoice.
